Wedding at Filipino Radio Brisbane
Filipino Radio Brisbane celebrated the wedding of one of its committee officers: Elsie Tuzon-Comino.
Jack and Elsie's wedding at the Citipointe Christian Church, Carindale last Saturday 16th of June was filled with love and joy as the couple expressed their promises in front of their family and ftriends.
Both Christians and endeared by their family and friends, Jack and Elsie tied the knot amidst the support of their Australian and Filipino friends.
The bride wore a traditional white wedding gown with a beautiful long tail and a matching thin veil.
Filipino traditions were practised at the ceremony, including the use of the cord to symbolise their unity, veil for commitment and arras for wealth. A pair of white doves were let go at the end of the ceremony.
The reception was held at the Colmslie Hotel Restaurant. The Filipino custom of money pinning as the couple danced was witnessed by both cultures. Fire and rain band was there to entertain the crowd.
The joyous occasion will be long remembered.
Congratulations, Elsie and Jack!
